Your Walls, Our Business
At Midwest RetroFoam, our mission is to help you, the owner, save energy and money on your existing building. RetroFoam wall insulation creates savings by keeping conditioned air inside, longer. So whether you're the proprietor of a hotel, apartment complex, assisted living facility, or fraternity house, RetroFoam can help you transform your existing, inefficient property into a high performance building with lower cost of ownership.
The thermal resistance of a wall, or its R-value, is its ability to slow the transfer of heat from one side to the other. Concrete blocks provide a cost-effective and structurally sound wall, but they have poor thermal resistance. Depending on the density of the blocks, an 8" thick block wall without any other type of insulation has a thermal resistance value between R-1 and R-2. The only way to reduce thermal transfer is to add insulation to the interior of exterior walls. Watch the video to see how RetroFoam gets between!
